If necessary you will be allocated space within the facility to store reagents, samples, expendable items, etc., for each laboratory.

Space Type and Laboratory Location

Refrigerated showcases(4 ℃) 514 Cell Manipulation Laboratory, 501 RNA Laboratory, 502 Instrument Analysis Laboratory
Freezers (-20 ℃) 514 Cell Manipulation Laboratory, 501 RNA Laboratory

Usage Fee (Charged monthly)

Based on the spaces used, a monthly usage fee will be charged to users.
*Storage for toxic substances is free.

How to Apply

The storage space applications are accepted in the Administration Office. Fill in the storage space application and bring it to the Administration Office.
Applications can be obtained in the Administration Office or on the Downloads page.

Terminating Use of Storage Spaces

If you decide to stop using any storage spaces, please come to the Administration Office and let us know in person. If you do not notify us in this manner, you will continue to be charged usage fees.

 

Temporary Storage

For example,
– You’re engaging in an experiment in a Gene Technology Center laboratory and you have a reagent that needs refrigeration so you want to use a refrigerated showcase temporarily.
or
– You’re using a cryostat, but you want to store a sample at -80℃, etc.

For these cases, we have set up temporary storage spaces for short term storage during experiments.

Usage Instructions

Fill out the necessary information on the provided form and attach it to your sample, etc. before placing it in the temporary storage space. The temporary space can be used for a week or less. Staff will check if there are any items stored without the attached form or which have been left after a lengthy period of time, and these items will be removed or discarded at the staff’s discretion.

Important Reminder

After experiments are completed, items brought into the laboratory should be immediately brought back to classrooms or stored in storage spaces. Any items not put in their prescribed place will be considered as left behind, and after a lengthy period of time will be removed or discarded at the staff’s discretion. The laboratory is a shared space and everyone should be able to use a clean and organized space. This requires the help of all users in keeping the laboratory neat and tidy. Your cooperation in regards to this matter is highly appreciated.
