タイトル;CARD strategy based on the reproductive engineering technologies.

Reproductive engineering technology is widely used for infertility treatment, livestock breeding, bio industry and rare animal protection, and there is a high demand for research concerning reproductive function improvement in various animals.
We have conducted research and development with the objective of improving reproductive function, and discovered various compounds useful for improving ovulatory function, viability of reproductive cells at refrigerated temperature and improvement of fertility of in vitro fertilization. In addition, we manage a research center (Center for Animal Resources and development, Kumamoto University: CARD) that creates, analyzes, preserves and supplies genetically engineered mice. Furthermore, we commercialize technologies, such as CARD HyperOva, CARD FERTIUP-sperm cryopreservation and pre-incubation medium, CARD MEDIUM-in vitro fertilization medium and CARD refrigeration transport kit. We also educate researchers and technicians in CARD mouse reproductive workshop to share the latest knowledge and techniques of mouse reproductive technologies in domestic and overseas institutes.
Nowadays, CARD is widely recognized as a development center of reproductive engineering technology and it also plays a role as an international hub center where researchers developing reproductive technologies of various laboratory animals, livestock and human can meet and mingle. In this poster, we would like to outline the technologies and activities we have developed.
