タイトル; In vitro fertilization using freeze-thaw sperm in Jcl rat strains.

要旨;
The cryopreservation of rat sperm would be a useful method of efficiently managing any strains. We reported to improve the sperm freezing method on the 67th JALAS meeting In this study, we tested common strains such as Jcl:SD (SD) and Jcl:Wistar (Wistar) rats. In vitro fertilization was carried out using cryopreserved sperm taken from male rats 13 weeks of age. Oocytes were collected from immature female rats 5weeks of age. The frozen-thawed retain motility for 6 hours after thawed. All cumulus oocytes complexes were released from the collected oviducts into the pre-incubated frozen-thawed sperm suspension. After twenty hours, the oocytes were observed under a microscope, and fertilization rates were calculated. The fertilization rates were attained with both SD (81.4±12.4%) and Wistar (83.0±9.6%). After embryo transfer, embryo developed via pups in SD (30%,12/40)and Wistar (50%,20/40).
